The most glamorous of careers often hide some of the darkest stories beneath. In Auckland Brandt started as a retail worker, but was later upgraded to IT Management Consultant. Lesley's professional career started with couple of model projects. She then appeared in countless commercial advertisements. In 2008, she completed her studies and enrolled in Meisner study methods. Lesley's first major acting gig was with the new Zealand TV series Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance on New Zealand's TV drama Shortland Street as a supporting actor. She then appeared in This Is Not My Life. The show is based on the real story of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The character was later reprised as the character in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
