Janney was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest actor in the Drama Series for her performance in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime show Masters of Sex. Janney has been nominated for at least six Primetime Emmy Awards, and she was awarded twice for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in Comedy Drama Series.
